a brilliant, evil plan
wow...
tc sent
this to me. i think it's really funny... but also disturbing. it's so damn evil! the guy's just under 20k now... that's 20k! for doing nothing! sounds like something your run of the mill evil b-school graduate would do. you know... the ones that went on to run enron, adelphia, worldcom, etc.
in other bizarro
news... "oh, yeah, what are you gonna do? release the dogs? or the bees? or the dogs with bees in their mouth and when they bark, they shoot bees at you?" i absolutely hate bees... and stingy insects. this one summer i think i was stung/bitten something like 7 times between the wasps, the bees, and the yellow jackets when i was little and running around. totally traumatized me. the move to the city was good in that respect... less bugs... more rats... but rats i can deal with.
something i found
interesting. i think the bush administration/right wing have made some missteps between their policy and the views of their base of support in recent months. hopefully that will continue... and people will see through the smoke and mirrors. it's hard to let a son or daughter go... but if you put yourself in their shoes... if they could think... would you want to spend the rest of your life like that? anyone can be kept alive through those means... the question is would they want that?

a recently seen ad that's become one of my favs.
busy with the lack of updates...
haven't felt like writing these last couple weeks. been busy and not busy. seen 'not bizarro' a couple times which is always nice. kicking some other ideas around in my head about next fall. looking forward to this weekend... 'buckles' will be back in town from cleveland... so... we'll gather up the troops and spend some time together.
so an update on the situation with leng's dad. it's most likely hepatoma (liver cancer), which is more common in asians than in caucasians (but still pretty rare as a cancer). at this point, he's waiting to see if he can be admitted for a liver transplant at strong memorial in rochester. so to anyone praying or sending some good thoughts over... that's all the info i have at the moment. the prognosis is not completely without hope, but it will be a very tough battle. right now, the family probably needs lots of strength, and wisdom in their decisions for the best outcomes... so if you're praying, those are the things i'm praying about. if you're sending good thoughts, leng says they are very much appreciated.
if anyone has any info on treatment that's worked or anything like that for hepatoma, eastern or western medicine... i know leng's keeping all paths open... please leave a comment. thanks.
update: if you have any other info, you can leave a comment with leng on his
blog as he's updated recently. thanks.

thoughts and or prayers
just asking for some of your thoughts and prayers of comfort and support for my friend leng and his family. his father is fighting something serious right now. more info as it becomes available.
thank you.
xo.
the slow crawl to spring
it's sunny, it's warming up, there's still snow on the ground.
i do wish i could be more helpful sometimes. yesterday was one of those perspective days. i wonder how far away i could live from the people i've grown up with? can i keep starting over again? it's kinda tiring.
perhaps one of the strangest feelings two people have is when they see each other, and they somehow "know" the other... but they also know they've never met before. so they just sit there kinda looking at each other.

neglect
hi, it's been awhile. not much to say... nothing too interesting has happened. i was locked in my room for some time trying to get some orgo reactions straight in my head for the test last night. the week before was anat & physio. i'm TIRED.
so. that's all. i'm going to take a nap.
2 good bumper stickers i've seen this past week.
-"save a tree get rid of a bush" (this one i've seen/heard before)
-"ithaca is gorges" (that's pretty bad right? =])

drive by balloon-ING?
so who drive-by ballonED the tree on my parent's front lawn? i noticed them yesterday morning when i was leaving for school. i didn't even really think much about them... and i didn't even look @ what they said. i thought that a kid had let their balloons go, and it just got tangled in the branches. so last night my dad was all... are those balloons from your friends? i didn't even know elmo was saying happy birthday on one... i assume they're for me? i suppose it's just as likely that a kid let their balloons go... except... it's the middle of winter... and what would a little kid be doing outside holding balloons? so if they're for me... thanks to the unknown person who dropped them off... no thanks cause i'll need to wait until april to get them down, as it's kinda hard to climb trees when they're iced up and slippery. if you're reading this... let me know... so i can properly thank you!
and in bizarro news today... a 22lb
lobster!
